Keyword difficulty is a percentage from 0-100 that estimates how hard it is to rank on Google's first page for that keyword. Under 20% is easy (good for new sites), 20-50% is medium, and over 50% means strong competition from established sites.

How do I pick the right keywords?

Look for keywords with decent search volume (100+ monthly searches), low KD% (under 30%), and relevance to your business. These 'low-hanging fruit' keywords are the fastest path to organic traffic.
